Dental Decay Before Fillings
Dental decay has been removed and fillings have been placed
*The far left tooth is restored with amalgam (silver filling) and the middle tooth is restored with composite (tooth colored filling)
Treating dental decay in primary ("baby") teeth is important, since untreated decay in the primary tooth can affect the permanent ("adult") teeth forming below.
When a child is diagnosed with tooth decay, the decay must be removed and the tooth restored. Depending on the amount of the dental decay, the treatment usually involves the placement of a filling.
Here at PDC, we use the highest quality and most aesthetic products available. We always aim to use Composite (tooth color filling) whenever possible.
